Annabel Fairfax grew up in Suffolk and has painted all her life. She worked in the studio designing for Colefax and Fowler, then studied photography before attending the Heatherley School of Fine Art. Annabel has had several solo exhibitions and her work has been hung in many galleries including The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy. Annabel’s watercolours have been made into cards and wrapping paper at Woodmansterne publications and the Medici society and she designs for the Carolyn Sheffiels giftware and home accessories range. House and Garden have made collectors prints of her Iris Tulip and Stargazer Lily watercolours. Annabel moved into painting with oils and her “Shell and Jug” was selected for the royal academy summer exhibition 2008. She has recently been elected a member of The Society of Women Artists and won the 2011 Society of Women Artists ‘Great Art’ Award at The Mall Galleries.
